Tajmal Kaleem, a Punjabi poet and a strong advocate for social justice, dies

Because of his distinctive style and deep intellectual expression, Tajmal Kaleem—also referred to as Ustad Kaleem in literary circles—held a prestigious place in Punjabi poetry.
On Wednesday, the poet passed away. He was born in the Kasur district’s Chunian city.
His poetry raised awareness of a number of social concerns in Punjabi society by skilfully fusing tradition, resistance, suffering, and the feelings of the average person.
Tajmal Kaleem spearheaded the cause of social justice and Punjabi language promotion.
His works, such as Vehre Da Rakh (2010), Haan Di Sooli (2012), Barfan Heeth Tandur (1996), and Chekda Manzar (2017), received broad praise in literary circles and encouraged the next generation to think critically and become more aware.
