PTI members gather outside IHC to show court solidarity.

On Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members and sympathizers assembled outside the Islamabad High Court to show their support of the court. Enhanced security precautions have been implemented all around the court in expectation of the demonstration.
Along with prisoner vans and armored cars set outside the High Court, more police and Frontier Corps troops were assigned. On call to handle any crises are security agents.
PTI leadership expressed worries over the absence of a planned hearing to review Imran Khan’s sentence suspension in the £190 million case. They want to make an accelerated hearing appeal to the court today.
Advisor on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Dr. Safeer, underlined that outside the Islamabad High Court there will be a major protest. Criticizing the court system as ineffective and claiming that delays in justice amount to denial of justice, he demanded the 26th constitutional amendment to be reversed as well as the hearing of the founding cases.
He said even further that the protracted delays in these cases point to a lack of credibility and imply that the only goal is to keep the founder behind bars.
