Pakistan condemns Prime Minister Modi’s provocative speech.

Prime Minister Modi urged the Indian government to purify its conscience, refrain from issuing threats, and adhere to the fundamental principles of international order, which encompass respect for the sovereign rights of others, compliance with treaty responsibilities, and exercising restraint in both rhetoric and actions.

“It is unfortunate, albeit not entirely surprising, that the Indian Prime Minister has once more prioritized an incendiary discourse over the ongoing project of historical revisionism and the internal suppression of minorities, as evidenced on Wednesday.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a news release that his comments to weaponizing water, a shared resource governed by treaties, signify a concerning deviation from international norms and highlight a striking contrast between India’s regional behavior and its proclaimed global aspirations.

It further stated that a leadership really seeking worldwide respect should first introspect and endeavor to purify its conscience before making threats to others.

PM Modi, in his speech at a gathering in Gandhinagar recently, condemned the provisions of the Indus Waters Treaty, asserting that they were ‘poorly negotiated.’ The deal has simply been suspended, and they (Pakistan) are already experiencing significant distress, the Indian media reported him as stating.

The international Office stated that the Indian government was associated with extraterritorial assassinations and international subversion. India occupies foreign individuals and territory. Its record in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is characterized by systematic oppression. It is amusing that such a state now seeks to assume the role of victim.

The ideological adherents of India’s current administration have legitimized mob violence, advanced hate campaigns, and persecuted religious minorities. Such actions may cater to home perceptions but cannot endure international examination. “Nor do they instill confidence in India’s reputation as a responsible regional power,” the press statement asserted.
