Youm-e-Takbir serves as a day to reaffirm the commitment to respond appropriately to any acts of hostility. Tarar

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated on Wednesday that Youm-e-Takbir represents a day of reaffirming the commitment that Pakistan will respond decisively to any assault and will never compromise on the nation’s security and sovereignty.

In a statement, Tarar congratulated the nation on Youm-e-Takbir, asserting that May 28, 1998, marked a significant milestone in Pakistan’s history.

The minister stated, “On that day, the nation, led by Nawaz Sharif, executed six successful nuclear detonations in retaliation to India’s five nuclear detonations, rendering the country’s defense invulnerable.”

He additionally stated that Youm-e-Takbir represented not only the resolve and autonomy of Pakistan’s scientific, military, and political leadership, but also symbolized the nation’s unity in responding decisively to challenges posed by adversaries.

“Today, Pakistan has once more demonstrated our willingness to go to any lengths to safeguard the nation,” he stated.

In the recent Indo-Pak standoff, he stated that under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, Pakistan thwarted the enemy’s malevolent schemes.
