Ishaq Dar is scheduled to go for Hong Kong today.

To attend the signing ceremony for the Convention on the establishment of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed), Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will travel to Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, for a two-day visit today (Wednesday).
On May 30, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister will speak at the ceremony and sign the IOMed Convention. According to a news statement from the Foreign Office, he will also have a number of bilateral meetings during the summit.
One of the original members of the IOMed is Pakistan. Recognizing IOMed’s potential for mediation and the peaceful and calm resolution of international issues, Pakistan continued to enthusiastically support the organization’s goals and objectives.
“Pakistan thinks that rigorous adherence to the UN Charter’s tenets, faithful execution of UN Security Council resolutions, and respect for international law can foster and maintain peace, security, and world prosperity.” It was also said that international cooperation, dialogue, diplomacy, and mediation are crucial pillars of this all-encompassing strategy.
