At AFIC, siblings underwent successful surgery under the direction of Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Under the particular direction of Field Marshal Gen. Syed Asim Munir, two innocent siblings, Abdullah and Minsa, underwent a successful operation at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC).

Shahid Ahmed, the father of the siblings, had conveyed his sincere appreciation to the hospital’s medical staff and military leadership.

Ahmed stated: “The AFIC performed the surgery after Field Marshal Asim Munir took notice of Abdullah and Minsa’s plight. For the previous nine years, the kids had been anticipating this procedure.

“To guarantee the procedure’s success, the AFIC’s committed team of physicians had put in countless hours of work. I am extremely appreciative of Field Marshal Asim Munir for taking care of my kids. They’re in much better shape now, thanks to Allah Almighty,” he stated.

Ahmed went on: “If things had gone differently, I might not have been able to handle the emotional strain. The doctors deserve a great deal of praise for their efforts.

“AFIC is Pakistan’s leading cardiology institute, providing top-notch services for the treatment of cardiac conditions,” stated Dr. Naseer Ahmad Somore, AFIC Executive Director Major General (Retd). In the past, Abdullah and Minsa had sought medical attention in India, but Indian hospitals turned them away.

Following their return to Pakistan, the kids were sent to AFIC per Field Marshal Asim Munir’s orders. A specialized team was established to organize their treatment following an evaluation, and with Allah’s blessing, we were successful,” he continued.

Brigadier Dr. Khurram Akhtar, Deputy Commandant of the AFIC, continued, “With Allah’s blessing, the medical strategy we came up with for Abdullah worked out perfectly. We are blessed with a very competent medical staff. Abdullah had a successful surgery that took five to six hours to complete.

“We offered a treatment plan that was far better than what Indian doctors had suggested,” Dr. Dawood Kamal stated. Thank God, both kids have significantly improved and are now prepared to be sent home.
