According to a report, the May 9 riots in Lahore caused public property damage totaling Rs 106 million.

The documents state that a total of Rs 106.8 million is believed to have been lost as a result of the destruction of traffic lights, government cars, and surveillance cameras. Twenty-one police and Rangers vehicles were wrecked throughout the city during the disturbances.

In nine distinct police jurisdictions, hundreds of government cars were vandalized, resulting in damage totaling Rs 82.2 million.

According to the documents, 12 cars, including a Rangers single-cabin vehicle, were destroyed close to Jinnah House. Damage to traffic signals and other equipment totaled Rs 5.3 million.

About Rs 14.1 million worth of Safe City cameras were lost, and Rs 2.56 million worth of cameras at Girja Chowk in Cantt were destroyed.

Furthermore, public property damage totaling Rs 518,000 was noted at Qurtaba Chowk, Jail Road, and Shalimar Chowk, while surveillance equipment valued at Rs 518,000 was damaged close to Sherpao Bridge.
