PTI aims to ignore discussions with the government.,

ISLAMABAD: Sheikh Waqas Akram, the central information secretary for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), denied rumors of ongoing talks with the government on Wednesday, stating that conversation “does not work like this.”

PTI founding leader Imran Khan has denied starting negotiations, the party’s central communications secretary explained during a press briefing.

“You can’t drive daggers of hatred into someone’s chest and still expect goodwill in return,” he said.

He went on to explain that Imran himself had formed the negotiation committee and that he had instructed him to participate. “No one can claim we didn’t sit with them, we did so only on the founder’s instructions.”

Accusing the February 9 elections of creating a “rigged” political environment, Akram claimed that the “Form-47 government” needed to end its “campaign of cruelty and repression” against political rivals.

He claimed that rulings could now be predicted based on the bench’s makeup, taking aim at the court amid PTI’s legal troubles.

“Our lawyers already inform us what the judgment will be, the system stands naked,” he stated.

He declared that the PTI would battle “till the last ball” and vow to struggle to the very end. “Everyone is observing. We’re not going to give up. We’re not going to give up.”
