Pakistan demands that the Kashmir problem be resolved and denies aggressive Indian statements.

Statements are described as “deeply troubling” and “divorced from reality” by a MOFA spokesperson.

Recent hostile statements from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and by Indian authorities, notably those made in Bihar, have been forcefully denounced by Pakistan as “deeply troubling” and “divorced from reality.”

When asked by the media on May 29, 2025, the spokeswoman for Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated that the rhetoric of the Indian leadership demonstrates a mindset that puts animosity above regional security and peace.

According to the spokesperson, “any attempt to portray Pakistan as the source of regional instability ignores the facts.” “India’s history of belligerent behaviour and its acknowledged support for terrorist activities within Pakistan are well known to the world community. Diversionary strategies or phoney narratives cannot mask these truths.

The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing stance, stressing that the main issue endangering South Asian peace is still the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The statement said that Pakistan would keep pushing for a fair and long-term solution to the Kashmir problem, in accordance with decisions made by the UN Security Council and the desires of the Kashmiri people.

Ignoring the fundamental problem of Kashmir, the spokesperson cautioned, will only fuel regional distrust and conflict.

According to the spokesperson, recent events have once again shown how pointless “jingoism and coercion” are. India “cannot and will not achieve its objectives through threats, misrepresentation, or use of force,” the statement said.

The spokesperson made it clear that Pakistan is still ready to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any kind of assault, while also restating its commitment to peace and constructive discussion.

The spokesman came to the conclusion that “regular peace in South Asia necessitates maturity, restraint, and a willingness to address the root causes of conflict—not the pursuit of narrow political gains at the expense of regional harmony.”
