Parts of Punjab and KP are expected to experience light rain and thunderstorms.

On Monday, the Meteorological Department predicted hot and dry weather across the majority of the country, while predicting light rain and isolated thunderstorms in few areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

In a number of Punjabi districts, including Bahawalnagar, Multan, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan, the department predicts light rain along with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. There will probably be some light rain and windy conditions in the cities of Khanewal and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Partially cloudy weather with the possibility of rainfall is anticipated in Punjab’s mountainous regions, especially Murree and Galiyat, which will offer some respite from the generally arid weather.

The majority of KP’s districts are expected to get rainfall in the meanwhile, with Kohistan, Battagram, Swat, and Mansehra all expected to experience rain and strong gusts. Haripur and Abbottabad are predicted to experience similar weather.

The Meteorological Department added that there won’t be any notable rainfall in Sindh and Balochistan and that the region will continue to see extremely hot and dry weather.

Residents are urged to exercise caution, particularly in regions where thunderstorms and high winds are predicted.
