Bilawal associates regional tranquilly with the resolution of the Kashmir issue.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former Foreign Minister and PPP Chairman, stated that resolving the Jammu and Kashmir conflict is essential for a sustainable resolution of the tensions between India and Pakistan.

In a television interview with a Chinese TV channel, Bilawal, who heads a nine-member parliamentary delegation, stated that the existing ceasefire should culminate in enduring peace, which he asserted will be achieved through the resolution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Emphasising Pakistan’s aspiration for peace through dignity, strength, and diplomacy, he characterised India’s activities as “dangerous” and in contravention of international law.

The team head stated, “A lasting solution is unattainable without addressing the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.”

Bilawal stated that India’s unilateral move to suspend the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty contravenes international law and treaty commitments, asserting, “By unilaterally suspending the IWT, India has established a perilous precedent with ramifications for regional peace and security.”

He implored the international community to facilitate dialogue between Pakistan and India.

The delegation leader stated, “We are prepared to engage in discussions with India regarding Jammu and Kashmir, the Indus Waters Treaty, and terrorism.”

Pakistan, he stated, is a victim of terrorism, impacting its political leadership, military, and population alike.

He stated that India engaged in a flagrant act of aggression by breaching the international border, while Pakistan acted in self-defense.

Pakistan’s military and diplomatic triumph have unsettled Indian leadership, which is now preoccupied with disparaging Pakistan, Bilawal stated.

A parliamentary delegation from Pakistan, headed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, convened with representatives of the elected member nations of the UN Security Council to inform them about the regional security dangers posed by India’s actions.
