On Tuesday, Islamabad police announced the apprehension of the primary suspect in the murder of renowned TikToker Sana Yousuf, stating that the teenager was slain due to her continual rejections of the suspect’s approaches, within 20 hours of the occurrence.
The police report indicates that the homicide transpired in an affluent district of the city, when a masked and armed perpetrator infiltrated her residence in the evening and discharged firearms before absconding.
Sana was expedited to a proximate hospital but ultimately perished to her injuries.
The police immediately classified the incident as a targeted homicide and expedited their inquiry. Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that officials utilized advanced technology, such as CCTV video and geo-fencing, to monitor the suspect’s movements and phone usage.
The Inspector General characterized it as a high-profile case under considerable public scrutiny, noting that law enforcement authorities exerted substantial effort and utilized all available resources to effectuate the arrest. The apprehended suspect has allegedly confessed during preliminary questioning, and law enforcement has retrieved the weapon utilized in the offense along with the victim’s mobile device. A case has been filed, and officials indicate that the charge sheet will be submitted to the court shortly.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the police for their swift response, asserting that the resolution reflects the absence of lawlessness in the nation.

Sana, originating from Chitral, was a prominent TikTok influencer. The body was transported to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a post-mortem examination.
