Pakistan adeptly articulated its position during the two-day United Nations visit.

The Foreign Office asserts that Pakistan effectively articulated its position before the United Nations.
A high-level parliamentary delegation, headed by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, has concluded a two-day visit to the United Nations headquarters in New York, as stated by the Foreign Office spokesperson.
During the visit, the delegation engaged with the UN Secretary-General, the presidents of the General Assembly and Security Council, representatives from both permanent and non-permanent Security Council members, ambassadors of the OIC group, media representatives, civil society members, think tanks, and the Pakistani community.
The Foreign Office stated that this visit was integral to Pakistan’s worldwide diplomatic initiative to convey its viewpoint on rising regional tensions and risks to global peace and security.
The spokesperson asserted that the fundamental causes of threats to global peace and security stem from India’s irresponsible conduct, unprovoked aggression towards Pakistan, incendiary remarks, and the unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, an accord deemed essential for the livelihoods of over 240 million Pakistanis.
The delegation communicated Pakistan’s fundamental theme of “Peace with Responsibility.”
The Foreign Office additionally stated that Pakistan dismissed India’s claims of terrorism. The diplomatic delegation provided proof of terrorism sponsored by India to the international community.
They deemed India’s unilateral position on the Indus Waters Treaty as untenable and asked the international community to uphold compliance with global agreements.
The team emphasized that enduring peace in South Asia is contingent upon a fair and tranquil resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, in alignment with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the desires of the Kashmiri populace.
The Pakistani mission asserted that India’s purported “new normal” poses a threat to regional stability. The resolution of the Kashmir conflict is the sole assurance of peace in South Asia. Pakistan is not remiss in its defense; it seeks peace but will not concede its sovereignty.
The legislative delegation comprised Dr. Musadik Malik, Senator Sherry Rehman, Hina Rabbani Khar, Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan, Senator Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and Tehmina Janjua.
