Injured suspects apprehended following ‘crossfire’

Two purported criminals sustained injuries and were apprehended after engaging in a shootout with the police in the Rawat region on Tuesday. Two individuals successfully evaded capture.

A stolen vehicle and illicit weapons were also recovered. Officials reported that the Rawat police and CCD team endeavored to intercept four suspected individuals in a vehicle.

The suspects discharged firearms at the police unit. During the gunfire engagement, Constable Mudassir Rasheed sustained a chest impact; however, he was uninjured thanks to his bulletproof vest.

Two suspects, Muhammad Hamza and Jawad Khan, both from Peshawar, sustained injuries and were apprehended before being transported to the hospital.

Two others, identified as Anis and Sajid, managed to flee. Arrested suspects were found in possession of weapons and a stolen vehicle. Law enforcement units have been established to apprehend the fugitives.
