Bilawal asserts that there is no political or personal goal, only a commitment to peace.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the leader of the Pakistani diplomatic team in New York, stated that their aim is to promote peace in South Asia, and they have come to the US with a message of tranquility.
“We are not exerting efforts for a political party or for individual ambitions.” Bilawal stated, “Our endeavor is for Pakistan, and we have arrived here with a message of peace,” when addressing the Pakistani community on Wednesday.
Bilawal stated that the delegation possessed neither political motives nor personal aims; instead, it was striving for the betterment of Pakistan and the promotion of peace.
He solicited the assistance of expatriate Pakistanis in the US for his diplomatic endeavor to unveil Indian aggressiveness, which is undermining peace in South Asia.
The PPP chairman stated that Pakistan could have downed 20 Indian planes but chose to display restraint, emphasizing that the nation had consistently acted in self-defense.
He stated that the Pakistan Air Force had “20 Indian aircraft targeted” during the recent military conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations.
“Pakistan responded with maturity befitting a responsible nuclear power.” We could have deployed 20 aircraft. However, the Pakistani Air Force exercised restraint. The military high command exhibited reason by exclusively targeting the six aircraft that released their payload over Pakistan,” he noted.
He stated that Pakistan had no intentions of aggression and responded solely in self-defense following India’s attacks.
“Our incursions into India occurred solely after India launched missile strikes into Pakistani territory, as international law and the United Nations Charter affirm our right to self-defense,” he emphasized.
“Regrettably, the world has become a less secure environment due to India’s actions in the early weeks of May.”
The PPP leader asserted that India’s military assault on May 7 aimed at civilian infrastructure, encompassing places of worship, dams, and energy facilities. Pakistan asserts that the strikes resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians, including women and children.
India has alleged that Pakistan orchestrated a terrorist strike in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), a claim that the PPP head vehemently refuted. He stated that Pakistan condemned the attack and proposed participation in an international inquiry, a suggestion he claimed was declined by New Delhi.
He condemned India for its unilateral actions without of evidence, stating, “India chose to assume the roles of judge, jury, and executioner.”
He expressed apprehensions on India’s purported infringement of the Indus Waters Treaty and the repression of Kashmiri rights.
He implored the international community, particularly the United States, to have a more proactive role in alleviating tensions and fostering discussion.
“A conflict between India and Pakistan serves no one’s interests,” he stated, advocating for an extensive peace initiative grounded in diplomacy, mutual respect, and adherence to international law.
