Iran verifies the assassination of two Pakistani nationals in Sistan-Baluchistan.

The spokesperson for Pakistan’s foreign office acknowledged on Wednesday the deaths of two Pakistanis in Iran’s unstable Sistan-Baluchistan province, stating that steps were being made to return the remains.

The foreign office official succinctly stated that Iranian authorities have verified the deaths of Pakistani nationals Mujahid and Mohammed Faheem in Sistan-Baluchistan.

The official stated that Pakistan’s embassy in Tehran is engaged in “active communication” with Iranian authorities, who are providing the requisite support and assistance.

“Efforts are underway to repatriate the remains once the requisite administrative and legal formalities are completed,” he stated.

In April, eight Pakistanis were slain in Mehrestan County. The prohibited Balochistan National Army (BNA) has claimed responsibility for the attack. Pakistan and Iran have experienced tumultuous relations despite several trade agreements.

The two nations frequently dispute over instability along their mutual porous border, consistently attributing responsibility for the failure to eliminate militancy.
