COAS engages with Pakistanis living abroad in the US and praises their economic contributions.

During his official tour to the United States, Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), engaged with the Pakistani diaspora abroad in Washington, DC.

The overseas Pakistanis who flocked to meet with the army chief gave the COAS a hearty welcome and reception.

According to a press release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), “the diaspora warmly appreciated the Armed Forces’ outstanding performance during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos /Marka-e-Haq, showcasing their bravery and professionalism.”

During the interaction, the COAS expressed his deep appreciation for the vital and most significant role being played by overseas Pakistanis for being ambassadors of Pakistan.

By actively contributing through remittances, investments, and greater accomplishments in other areas, he recognized their contributions to Pakistan’s economy and international standing.

The overseas Pakistanis shared their experiences and suggestions with the army chief.

In order to solve shared issues and foster cooperation, COAS underlined the value of interacting with Pakistanis living abroad and the necessity of ongoing collaboration.

The COAS and the Pakistanis living abroad agreed to cooperate in the pursuit of a more secure, prosperous, and resilient Pakistan as the meeting came to a close with a fresh sense of purpose and dedication.
