Khawaja Asif: Pakistan’s nuclear policy is for defense, not supremacy.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to the peaceful and defensive application of its nuclear weapons, asserting that they are only aimed at safeguarding the nation and its populace against hostile threats.

In a comment on the social media site X, Asif asserted that Pakistan does not pursue regional hegemony and adheres strictly to all international nuclear accords and regulations.

The minister articulated a stark contrast, expressing alarm with Israel’s actions, characterizing them as hegemonic and cautioning that they may incite extensive conflict.

He cautioned that “Israel’s belligerent policies are generating instability that may engulf the region and beyond.”

Asif condemned the Western world’s ongoing backing for Israel, labeling the nation a “rogue state” and cautioning that this endorsement could result in dire repercussions for global peace and security.
