Samiullah’s triumph over Azma Bukhari’s spouse was the subject of a dismissed petition.

A petition contesting the victory of Samiullah, the spouse of Punjab Information Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Azma Bukhari, was denied by the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Election Tribunal.
Yasir Gillani, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), submitted the petition.
The election tribunal’s judge, Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad, dismissed the plea in an eight-page written ruling, citing non-compliance with the law.
The ruling states that the petition was not filed in accordance with Section 4 of the Election Act of 2017, was not checked by an Oath Commissioner, and did not adhere to Sections 142 and 143 at the time of submission.
The court declared that the petition was technically unmaintainable, citing other prior Supreme Court decisions.
The petitioner had asked the court to declare the Form-45s of 17 polling stations in PP-145 unlawful, arguing that the results of those stations should be adjusted in line with Form-45.
But after weighing all the grounds, the court decided that the petition was dismissed under Section 145 of the Election Act because it was not filed in accordance with the law.
