PPP employees condemn partiality.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) employees in Rawalpindi are becoming increasingly resentful of their marginalisation during Eidul Azha festivities, especially in relation to their limited opportunities to interact with President Asif Ali Zardari.

Abdul Rehman Tokli, Tauqeer Abbasi, Nasir Mir, Punjab Council Member Banaras Chaudhry, and PPP Rawalpindi Cantonment President Malik Qasim Idrees expressed grave worries during a press conference over what they described as a plot to prevent loyal workers from visiting the president. In particular, they charged former MPA and presidential spokesperson Aamir Fida Paracha with erecting barriers and deterring grassroots members from seeking leadership.

The party officials said that a calculated plot had prevented the PPP’s affiliated organisations from meeting with the president, and they expressed their profound disappointment at the demoralisation of devoted male and female party employees. They asserted that the party’s cohesiveness has suffered as a result of former Baitul Maal MD Aamir Paracha’s failure to convey to the leadership the genuine feelings and complaints of party workers.

The frequent nomination of unqualified candidates in Rawalpindi was also criticised.
