Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, has reiterated the judiciary’s dedication to enhancing the justice delivery system nationwide.
He delivered these comments while presiding over a high-level meeting at the Peshawar Registry of the Supreme Court.
The meeting convened to evaluate the master plan for the proposed court complex (Katcheri Compound) in Peshawar.
The Chief Justice underscored that the new complex must be contemporary, sustainable, and all-encompassing, catering to the requirements of the bar, bench, and executive.
Proposals made during the conference encompassed the incorporation of green spaces, tree plantations, and the establishment of a children’s park within the premises.
Particular emphasis was placed on providing accommodations for elderly and differently-abled litigants, embodying the judiciary’s commitment to inclusive and accessible justice.
Justice Yahya Afridi affirmed that the Supreme Court is dedicated to facilitating judicial reforms and infrastructure enhancement, guaranteeing equitable access to justice for all societal sectors.
Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, Justice Atiq Shah, and several top officials attended the meeting.
The Chief Justice stated that the judiciary will persist in its efforts to enhance the legal system and guarantee speedy and equitable justice for everybody.
