According to a source, the blast in the residential block near Iran’s Qom was not an Israeli attack.

Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported that an explosion at a residential building in the Pardisan neighbourhood of Qom city injured seven people. The agency cited an unnamed source who claimed that the incident was not the consequence of an Israeli attack.
“The explosion caused damage to four residential units. According to preliminary assessments, a gas leak caused the incident, and investigations are ongoing in this regard,” the fire department director of Qom informed Fars.
According to the agency, the building’s occupants were regular people.
Israel, Iran’s fiercest regional rival, has a history of killing Iranian nuclear scientists it believes are involved in a program that poses a direct threat to Israel. Tehran insists that the only reason for its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
There have been multiple explosions in Iran since the conclusion of a 12-day air war between Israel and Iran last month, during which the United States and Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities. However, authorities have not placed the blame on Israel.
It is not necessary for people to be concerned about rumours of Israeli attacks. Following the explosion in Qom, Fars cited an unnamed Iranian source as saying, “If a hostile action occurs in the country, the news will immediately reach the people and alarm bells will simultaneously be activated in the Occupied Territories.”
