Pakistan Railways has announced the arrival of a new, cutting-edge train.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has declared that a brand-new, cutting-edge business train will begin service this week.
The new train will give passengers a contemporary and comfortable travel experience with its twenty-eight digitally equipped coaches, free Wi-Fi, and an international-standard dining car.
The goal of the new train service, which will connect Lahore and Karachi, is to give passengers a much better journey.
Separately, the PR intends to contract out a number of services, including passenger train commercial management.
Over the previous three years, Pakistan Railways made over Rs 3,959 million from the operation of brake and luggage vans, according to a Ministry of Railways official.
The official told state-run APP, “Pakistan Railways conducted these operations both directly and through outsourcing to private contractors.”

According to him, a transparent bidding process was used to outsource the luggage vans during this time. “The department publicly advertises open tenders, which are used for the outsourcing,” the official stated.
It is important to note that, according to officials, Pakistan Railways generated a record revenue of about Rs 83 billion during the last 11 months, which is nearly Rs 6 billion more than it did during the same time last year.
Passenger trains brought in Rs42 billion and goods trains Rs29 billion of the total revenue. Officials from Pakistan Railways claim that an extra Rs12 billion was made from other sources.
The Karachi Division led with Rs13 billion from passenger trains and Rs25 billion from goods trains, according to the officials who broke it down.
With Rs10 billion in revenue from passenger trains and Rs0.75 billion from goods trains, Lahore Division came in second. The passenger sector brought in about Rs4 billion for the Rawalpindi and Multan Divisions, respectively.
