Maryam informs ECO that Punjab is dedicated to growing tourism as a sector.

Punjab is prepared to receive visitors, according to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who also pledged that the province administration is dedicated to growing the tourism industry.
Permanent delegates from the CMOs of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan were among the 25 members of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) delegation that the chief minister was speaking to. ECO Secretary-General Asad Majeed Khan led the delegation.
She said that “the Punjab government is upgrading tourist destinations not just in Lahore but across the province,” making sure that both domestic and foreign visitors have access to all the amenities they could possibly need.
Turkmenistan’s support for Lahore’s selection as the ECO Capital was acknowledged by Chief Minister Maryam.
The city of Lahore is something she loves and admires. “I have great love for Lahore — a city that blends ancient and modern culture,” she said to the delegates. Lahore is a living historical museum as well as a metropolis. Its magnificent past is attested to by its streets and ancient sites. The kindness of the people of Lahore is unparalleled, and they are the epitome of hospitality and affection.
She claimed that her father, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, had been in charge of Lahore’s cultural heritage restoration.
She said, “The Royal Fort, Lahore’s gardens, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites are testaments to the city’s grandeur.”
“Punjab is emerging as a centre for business, technology, and services,” the chief minister told the attendees. The province has enormous potential in a number of areas, including industry, tourism, education, technology, and agriculture. The foundation has been established for foreign investors to make investments in each of these sectors.
According to ECO Secretary-General Asad Majeed, Pakistan became a member of the ECO in 1992, when Nawaz Sharif was in power.
The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and her team’s efforts to improve Lahore’s aesthetics, revive its culture, and boost tourism were commended by the ECO mission. The Chief Minister received a lovely calligraphy piece and other mementos from the delegation members.
In Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam had earlier greeted the delegates. Participants were given an overview of the project’s key characteristics by Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.
