PM Shehbaz calls on the world to devise a counterterrorism plan.

The world has been encouraged by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to devise a successful plan to combat the threat of terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated during a joint news conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan here on Tuesday that it is imperative that the world unite in combating terrorism and devise a common plan to bring about world peace and calm.
Reiterating their commitment to further expand their bilateral strategic relationship and promoting peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region, Pakistan and Turkey expressed pleasure on Tuesday with the good trajectory of their comprehensive bilateral relations.
As part of the former’s two-day visit to Turkiye, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss mutual ties and cooperation.
In addition to reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across a range of industries, the summit highlighted the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Turkiye.
Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the significance of strengthening economic cooperation, particularly through bilateral investments and joint enterprises.
In addition to strengthening cooperation in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and cyber security, he emphasized the potential for collaboration in the fields of energy and mining, joint ventures in defense and agriproduction, and improving regional and bilateral connectivity to increase trade and improve people-to-people exchanges.
Both presidents noted the actions done in response to the resolutions made at the 7th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), which was convened in Islamabad on February 13, 2025, during the talks.
Both leaders expressed pleasure with the direction of the sister nations’ extensive bilateral cooperation.
Along with talking about regional and international concerns, Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Erdogan reiterated their support for one another on subjects of national importance.
A ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the impacted population are urgently needed, according to two leaders who also voiced their profound worry over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
President Erdogan was grateful for Pakistan’s humanitarian aid and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
In order to promote peace, security, development, and prosperity in the area, both presidents pledged to deepen Pakistan’s strategic alliance with Turkey.
The team from Pakistan consisted of Dr. Yusuf Junaid, Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkiye, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the entourage that accompanied him were also honored with a banquet held by President Erdogan.
