In the Sangjani rally case, the ATC extends Asad Qaiser’s bail.
Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser’s temporary release in the Sangjani demonstration case was extended by an anti-terrorism court on Thursday till May 21.
The former National Assembly Speaker’s pre-arrest bail request was heard by ATC Judge Abul Hassanat Zulqarnain. Qaiser showed up in court with Ayesha Khalid, his attorney.
A petition filed by the investigating officer prevented arguments regarding the bail application from being made during the hearing.
At the subsequent hearing, the judge ordered the presentation of the case file and the making of arguments.
The judge subsequently postponed the hearing to May 21 and increased Asad Qaiser’s bail.
