Pakistan’s Social Protection Program will get an additional $330 million from ADB.

With the goal of helping about 9.3 million individuals nationally, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has offered an additional $330 million in financial assistance for Pakistan’s social safety program.
ADB’s recently published Annual Development Report 2024 included the statement.
The assistance would finance conditional cash transfers to support education for children and adolescents and improve access to healthcare for women, girls, and children in areas affected by disasters, according to the ADB.
Additionally, the program seeks to increase access to wholesome food, especially in underserved areas.
The research emphasizes that Central and West Asia, which includes nations like Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan, still faces major obstacles like social welfare inequalities, high rates of poverty, and restricted access to basic services.
It is anticipated that ADB’s involvement will be crucial in addressing these problems and assisting Pakistan in its pursuit of social justice and inclusive growth.
