Erdogan demands that tensions between India and Pakistan be reduced.

Following the Pahalgam incident, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded on Monday that tensions between India and Pakistan be quickly defused.

Following a Cabinet meeting in the capital city of Ankara, Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared, “We want the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India to be de-escalated as soon as possible, before they evolve into a more serious situation.”

He emphasized, “Turkey continually emphasizes that we do not want new conflicts in our region and beyond.”

Erdogan also expressed condolences for the Iranians who died in an explosion at port near the city of Bandar Abbas.
