The resistance of the Sindh people compelled the rulers to withdraw from canals: Soomro
He commended and praised Sindhis, attorneys, political activists, and people from all walks of life for their protests on the matter.
Speaking here, the JUI-F leader stated, “It was believed that those making decisions about Sindh behind closed doors are its owners, but the people’s protest and unity forced the rulers to go back from their decisions.”
“The minutes of the CCI meeting make it very evident that the canal construction should be immediately halted,” Soomro stated.
He pledged to aggressively oppose any such unlawful schemes. The JUI leader declared, “Sindh’s land belongs to Sindh, and the rulers have no authority to make bargains over it.”
Additionally, Rashid Mehmood Soomro commended the chief minister of Sindh for representing the province in the CCI session.
