Saudi Arabia imposes severe penalties for unlawful Hajj endeavors.

The Saudi government has declared sanctions.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior declared a set of severe penalties for anyone attempting to undertake Hajj without the necessary permit, as well as for those who assist in such infractions.

The measures will be implemented from the first of Dhul-Qi’dah till the 14th of Dhul-Hijjah.

According to the new legislation, those apprehended engaging in or attempting to engage in Hajj without a valid permit would incur fines of up to SAR 20,000. This penalty is applicable to all visit visa holders who enter or remain in Makkah or the sacred sites during the restricted period without appropriate authorization.

Enhanced penalties are established for facilitators: a fine of up to SAR 100,000 will be levied on anyone who sponsors a visit visa for an individual who contravenes the Hajj permit restrictions. The identical penalty is imposed on individuals who transport, house, or aid visit visa holders in arriving at or remaining in Makkah and the sacred places. This encompasses lodging them in hotels, flats, private households, shelters, or specified Hajj accommodations. The penalty will be exacerbated for each participant involved.
