FO spokesperson: “Pakistan is completely confident in its nuclear security regime.”

According to a Foreign Office spokeswoman on Thursday, Pakistan is still completely confident in the strength of its command and control systems and its comprehensive nuclear security regime.

“It is ironic that John Bolton’s remarks were prompted by a statement from Rajnath Singh—a leader affiliated with a Hindu extremist organization, known for repeatedly issuing threats of aggression against Pakistan,” the spokesperson said in a statement in response to a media question about comments made by former US National Security Advisor John Bolton to an Indian media outlet regarding Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement on Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.

The control of India’s nuclear arsenal by people like Rajnath Singh, who have a history of animosity toward Pakistan and Muslims and hazardous grandiosity, should really worry the world community more, he argued.

There are valid nuclear security concerns raised by the growing radicalization of India’s media, political environment, and societal groups. These worries are made worse by the fact that India still has a nuclear black market, which exposes significant flaws in the country’s nuclear security system, as shown by the frequent theft and illegal trafficking of sensitive nuclear items, he continued.
