Route-47 opens to traffic, reducing the travel from Gulberg to Walton to five minutes.

With the official opening of Punjab’s newest Central Business District (CBD) road, Route 47, travel times between Gulberg and Walton have been decreased to a matter of minutes.

Leader Road in Gulberg and CBD Gate Walton are directly connected by the 4.5-kilometer dual road, which has three lanes in each direction.

Imran Amin, the CEO of CBD Punjab, presided over the first drive-past ceremony, which also highlighted a number of environmentally friendly projects along the road. As part of the Green Punjab initiative, Route 47 has a designated bike lane and solar power generation capabilities. As part of the project’s sustainable design, an artificial lake is used to store water.

Due to the fact that the previously clogged 20-minute travel may now be finished in less than five minutes, local commuters have embraced the new artery.

According to authorities, the efficient traffic flow on Route 47 would improve connection within Lahore’s quickly growing central business district and lessen the strain on nearby roadways.
