Air cargo fees increased in Pakistan

The revised rates became effective on July 1, as per an official notification released in the early hours of Wednesday.
The revised tariff schedule has increased air cargo charges for transporting pet birds by 50%. The fee has increased from Rs200 to Rs300 per kilogram.
Cargo charges for betel leaves, a frequently transported commodity, have increased to Rs70 per kilogram.
General cargo rates have risen by 25%, increasing from Rs100 to Rs125 per kilogram.
The revised list of air cargo charges includes air freight fees for pets such as cats and dogs, in addition to pet birds and various items classified as general cargo.

The federal government has raised petrol prices for the upcoming fortnight, increasing the cost by Rs8.36 per litre.
The Pakistan Ministry of Finance announced an increase in petrol price by Rs14.80 per litre, resulting in a new price of Rs266.89 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs10.39 per litre, establishing the new rate at Rs272.98 per litre in Pakistan.
