Date of Pakistan vs India match in Asia Cup 2025 disclosed: reports

The 2025 Asia Cup is anticipated to occur in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with Indian media indicating that the tournament will commence on approximately September 4 or 5 and conclude on September 21.

The reports indicate that the group-stage match between India and Pakistan is expected to occur on September 7 in Dubai. The 17th edition of the tournament will utilize the T20 format and adhere to the established structure of group stages followed by a Super Four round.

India and Pakistan may encounter each other multiple times, contingent upon outcomes, with a prospective second confrontation in the Super Four stage.

The anticipated participating teams are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE.

The Asian Cricket Council has yet to release an official schedule, but an announcement is expected in the second week of July. Promotional teasers for the event have commenced broadcasting on Indian television and disseminating across social media platforms.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) dismissed speculation regarding India’s potential withdrawal from the tournament due to political tensions, affirming that no such decision had been reached.

Media sources indicated that both nations are anticipated to persist in their participation in ICC and ACC tournaments without any formal prohibitions on matches between them.

India is the defending champion, having secured the previous Asia Cup—conducted in the 50-over format—with a decisive 10-wicket triumph over Sri Lanka in the final.
