Haris Rauf will probably miss the Bangladesh T20I series after being ruled out of the MLC 2025.

After suffering a Grade 1 hamstring strain during the San Francisco Unicorns’ recent victory over the Texas Super Kings, Pakistani speedster Haris Rauf will miss the remainder of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season.

The team announced on social media that Ben Lister, a pacer from New Zealand, will take Rauf’s place for the rest of the competition.

The Unicorns wrote, “We’re with you, Haris,” on social media. “Due to a hamstring injury, Haris Rauf will miss the remainder of #MLC2025. Ben Lister joins the team with immediate effect.

Prior to the injury, Rauf was at the top of the wicket-takers’ chart with 17 wickets in 8 games at an economy of 9.08, and he was instrumental in Unicorns’ campaign.

Rauf’s participation in Pakistan’s T20I series against Bangladesh, which begins later this month, is also seriously doubtful due to the injury. Although the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet released an official statement, preliminary indications indicate that the 31-year-old might not make a full recovery in time.

Pakistan is expected to arrive in Dhaka on July 16 and begin the three-match Twenty20 International series at Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on July 20. July 22 and 24, respectively, will see the second and third games.

Following their tour of Bangladesh, Pakistan will play the West Indies in a white-ball series consisting of three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals in August.
