ICC Names Sanjog Gupta as Chief Executive
Sanjog Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He will take over as the organization’s seventh CEO on July 7, 2025.
At JioStar, Sanjog Gupta is the CEO of Sports & Live Experiences.
“I am happy to announce that Sanjog Gupta has been appointed as the CEO of the ICC,” said Jay Shah, chairman of the ICC. The ICC will benefit greatly from Sanjog’s vast experience in sports strategy and commercialization.
“It is a privilege to have this opportunity, especially at a time when cricket is poised for unprecedented growth and enjoys the passionate support of almost 2 billion fans worldwide,” said Sanjog Gupta, ICC CEO-designate. As major events gain prominence, business opportunities expand, and opportunities like the women’s game gain traction, these are exciting times for the sport. The addition of cricket to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and the quickening pace of technology adoption and deployment may serve as catalysts for the global cricket movement.
