The KP government denies the claims made by the federal minister and threatens legal action.

Barrister Dr. Saif, the information adviser for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has vehemently denied the accusations made against the KP Chief Minister by the Federal Minister for Petroleum, raising the prospect of legal action.

In response to the federal minister’s remarks, Barrister Saif said that CM Ali Amin Gandapur was the target of concocted and untrue charges by Ali Parvez Malik.

He highlighted that neither an agreement nor any paperwork pertaining to the Mines and Minerals Bill had been signed by the Chief Minister or the federal government.

He urged the federal minister to back up his statements with evidence; if not, the KP government would have the right to file a defamation lawsuit.

In order to protect and develop KP’s mineral resources, Dr. Saif stressed that the Mines and Minerals Bill was written only with the province’s interests in mind. He claimed that no outside forces had any influence on the bill’s creation.

He added that while other provinces may have legislated under federal directives, KP has crafted its laws based on the will and benefit of its people.
