Two police officers were wounded in a terrorist attack on the Bannu police station.

Police officials reported that Station House Officer (SHO) Waseem Sajjad and Constable Hayatullah sustained injuries in the attack and were transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical treatment.
In retaliation, law enforcement confronted the assailants, resulting in the death of one terrorist, while his associate evaded capture. A search operation is in progress to capture the escaping suspect. Authorities retrieved firearms and hand grenades from the deceased militant.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sajjad Khan and District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas Kulachi visited the hospital to assess the condition of the injured cops, providing assistance and enhancing their morale.
On April 22, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on the Dharey Pul police post in Bannu.
The Central Police Office (CPO) said that the prompt action of police officials at the post thwarted the assault.
The Chief of Police reported that a contingent of 18 to 19 terrorists, some on eight motorcycles and others advancing on foot, attempted a concerted assault.
The group, affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij, intended to target an IT camera as part of their planned attack. The Chief Police Officer reported that they commenced gunfire on the police post from various directions.
In reaction to a vigorous counteraction by the police, the assailants were compelled to retreat, failing to accomplish their goal.
