Faisal Vawda is criticised by Abid Sher Ali for “humiliating” democratic people.

Abid Sher Ali, a senior PML-N leader, chastised Faisal Vawda harshly for his recent remarks and urged him to refrain from disparaging democratic leaders.

Abid Sher Ali responded to Vawda’s remarks by saying, “You call democratic people corpses.” Did you also add Fatima Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan, and Quaid-e-Azam in that? He went on to ask why Vawda is afraid to criticise people who have truly undermined Pakistan’s democracy.

He drew attention to the fact that Vawda attacked elected officials despite being mute during the 10-year tenure of General Zia and the 8-year rule of Musharraf. “You call us corpses, even though we came by the power of the vote? “The true political corpse is you,” he continued.

According to the PML-N leader, Vawda was a tool of former generals Bajwa and Faiz Hameed, whose activities caused the nation to enter a crisis.

“Call us’stinking corpses’ was deeply hurtful,” Abid remarked, imploring Vawda to be courteous in his comments. Accepting both painful and pleasant facts is a requirement of democracy. Never again should democratic voices be treated so disrespectfully.
