Babar Azam, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, acknowledged that his performance did not meet expectations.

In a media address in Lahore, Babar expressed that although he felt exceptionally confident during net sessions, he had been unable to translate that performance into matches. “I consistently strive to exert my utmost effort; however, there are instances when, despite my best endeavors, outcomes do not align with expectations,” he stated.

He stated, “When individuals experience disappointment, I experience disappointment as well.” Frequently, your plans do not materialize on the field.

Babar underscored that deviation from the game plan resulted in defeats, observing that the team did not establish momentum in both batting and bowling during the initial six overs, and the fielding was also subpar.

Babar remarked on teammate Saim Ayub, indicating that he remains youthful and need additional time to develop in the sport.
