UK Foreign Secretary and DPM Talk About Regional Developments

During their meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy spoke with Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar about regional events and the Indo-Pak truce.

The Foreign Office official said that Ishaq Dar gave the visiting dignitary a hearty welcome and informed him of India’s transgressions of the UN Charter and international law.

He emphasized that, in accordance with the UN framework, Pakistan has used its right of retaliation.

Dar praised Britain’s covert efforts to reduce tension between the nuclear-armed neighbors during the meeting.

Regarding the necessity of communication to maintain the momentum for peace in South Asia, both leaders agreed.
