For enduring peace, Pakistan calls on India to uphold the ceasefire deal.

In reaction to recent news about Arunachal Pradesh, Pakistan reaffirmed its support for China’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Addressing the weekly media briefing on Friday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said Pakistan had seen reports regarding China’s position on Arunachal Pradesh and “fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the People’s Republic of China.”

Speaking about regional events, the spokesperson rejected Indian accusations of nuclear radiation in the wake of recent cross-border clashes as unfounded. “The reports that are making the rounds in Indian media are not true,” he said.

The spokesperson noted that the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India have remained in contact since May 10, underscoring the importance of maintaining communication channels.

Speaking about the recent rise in hostilities between the two nations, he blamed India’s assertive stance for the decline in regional harmony.

The region’s precarious security situation has been upset by India’s provocations. In retaliation, Pakistan hit enemy military installations—actions that propaganda cannot deny,” he said.

The official added that Pakistan’s military launched Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos in order to defend the nation’s sovereignty. “The justification for Pakistan’s reaction is widely known. According to Article 51 of the UN Charter, it was in line with the right to self-defense,” he continued.

The spokesperson praised the ceasefire deal between the two neighbors and urged India to uphold the commitment. “We see the ceasefire agreement as a good thing and encourage India to follow it to the letter and spirit,” he said in closing.
