As the country commemorates Youm-e-Tashakur, senators pay heartfelt homage to the military.

As the country observes “Youm-e-Tashakur” to honor Pakistan’s victory over India in Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, the senators paid heartfelt homage to the military personnel.

The Senate resumed its debate on Friday regarding India’s recent escalation of hostilities and Pakistan’s military’s prompt, decisive, and successful response.

On Friday, the Senate reconvened in the Parliament House in Islamabad, with Sherry Rehman serving as the presiding officer.

Ali Zafar of the PTI stated that the country is proud of its courageous military for handing India a humiliating defeat.

“Pakistan has reemerged as a military power in the region and that our armed forces shattered India’s dream of military dominance,” he said.

He also thanked the friendly countries including China and Turkiye for standing by Pakistan in the difficult time.

PML-N’s Irfan Siddiqui said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but if war is imposed, our armed forces are ready to respond to any misadventure.

On behalf of minorities, Senator Danesh Kumar praised the nation’s military for responding appropriately to India. He claimed that in front of the entire world, our military made us proud.

Others who spoke on the occasion included Hidayatuallah Khan, Jam Saifullah Khan, Abdul Qadir, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Raja Nasir Abbas, Humayun Mohmand and Nasir Mehmoud.

Later, the House was adjourned to reconvene on Monday at 4 p.m.
