Measures taken to combat the increase in poultry prices

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed her serious disapproval of the province’s rising poultry costs and instructed the necessary departments to act quickly to bring the pricing under control throughout Punjab.

She was upset over the price increase during a meeting she was chairing.

Ahead of Eidul Azha, the chief minister also instructed the departments to keep a careful eye on the costs of necessary vegetables, such as tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, green chilies, and lemons.

She said that no one would be permitted to raise the cost of necessary vegetables by hoarding, and that price increases before to Eid are unacceptable in any situation.

She emphasized that it is completely unacceptable for chicken prices to rise in spite of government institutions’ efforts.

The costs of bread, flour, pulses, and vegetables were briefed to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Given the recent drop in the price of flour, she ordered the authorities to act quickly to lower the price of “roti.”

She also asked for a thorough plan to reduce the cost of transporting vegetables and instructed the agriculture department to take necessary actions to grow vegetables during the off-season.
