Scattered showers provide relief for city

Monday night, following a hot and dry day, scattered showers gave the city some temporary relief.
Though light and patchy, the rain cleared the air in many parts of Lahore.
The Met Office reports that, save in northern areas, continental air dominated most of the nation and accompanied a modest westerly wave.
Forecasters expect mainly hot and dry conditions to persist in most areas, with intense heat over the plains.
But isolated rain, wind, or thunderstorms might strike the Potohar area and northeastern Punjab.
