NAB to oppose Imran, Bushra’s IHC plea

Sending a five-strong prosecution team to challenge the appeal of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, for suspending their sentences in the £190 million case at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) this week, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)

On June 5, the IHC has set aside a different appeal aiming at sentence suspension. Lead by Sardar Muzaffar Ahmed Khan, NAB created a five-prosecutor special team for the hearing. Additional members are Yasir Saleem Rana, Rafi Maqsood, Sohail Arif, and Irfan Ahmed.

Express News claims that NAB Prosecutor General Syed Ehtesham Qadir Shah guided the formation of the special squad.
