A task force was formed to guarantee Islamabad’s access to clean water.

A task force headed by Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has been established by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to guarantee the supply of potable water and the eradication of pollution in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Representatives from the Capital Development Authority (CDA), WAPDA, and other pertinent organizations will be on the task force. The prime minister of Islamabad presided over a high-level meeting where the decision was made.
The prime minister was briefed by officials on the creation of an integrated water supply system as well as the current water supply arrangements from the Tarbela, Khanpur, and Rawal Dams. He gave the order to finish the system right away in order to accommodate the capital’s expanding needs.
