Murad Ali Shah inspects areas in Hyderabad affected by rainfall.

Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, undertook a comprehensive inspection of multiple rain-affected regions in Hyderabad on Thursday. He apologised to the citizens of Hyderabad for the inconvenience caused by the rainfall and instructed the district administration to provide immediate relief to the public.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by provincial ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon and Jam Khan Shoro, Mayor of Hyderabad Kashif Shoro, Commissioner Bilal Ahmed Memon, and Deputy Commissioner Zainul Abideen Memon, conducted an inspection of the severely impacted areas.
Syed Murad Ali Shah conducted an inspection of Civil Lines, Thandi Sarak, Autobahn Road Pumping Station, Railway Underpass, Fatah Chowk, Makki Shah Road, Qazi Qayyum Road and the low-lying regions of Qasimabad. He directed the administration to facilitate the swift drainage of stagnant rainwater from all low-lying regions and expedite sanitation initiatives.
In a briefing, Deputy Commissioner Zainul Abideen Memon informed the Chief Minister that on July 14, a substantial rainfall of 107mm was recorded within an hour, comprising 91mm in Latifabad and 55mm in Qasimabad. He stated that 90 percent of the city’s regions had been evacuated of rainwater within 24 hours.
The Chief Minister underscored the necessity of concentrated efforts on the Railway Underpass and other low-lying areas, instructing that all precautions be implemented to safeguard human lives. He expressed his condolences for a citizen’s death during the rain.
He additionally instructed that the construction of roads be accelerated and public service announcements be exhibited on urban walls. He observed that certain areas of the city retained standing water and mandated its prompt drainage.
