The development of Gwadar is crucial for the future of Balochistan, according to Chief Minister Bugti.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, emphasised the crucial significance of Gwadar in advancing the development of Balochistan during virtual meetings with the Federal Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
The discourse focused on infrastructure enhancement, augmented public services, and novel employment prospects in the region.
Bugti announced that the government is actively considering the launch of a ferry service between Gwadar and Oman, aimed at improving regional connectivity and facilitating travel for religious pilgrims.
He stated, “This initiative will facilitate travel and directly benefit local communities,” committing to complete provincial cooperation and deeming the plan a significant milestone for cross-border integration.
The Chief Minister endorsed the Gwadar Port Authority’s initiative to construct a desalination plant, which will supply 1.2 million gallons of potable water daily, addressing the city’s persistent water scarcity.
Bugti emphasised initiatives to offer vocational training of international standards via the Pak-China Technical and Vocational Centre for youth empowerment.
“We have initiated a program to train 30,000 young individuals and facilitate their access to international employment opportunities.” “Dignified employment for our youth is the cornerstone of Balochistan’s prosperity,” he asserted.
Bugti reiterated provincial endorsement for all initiatives put forth by the Gwadar Port Authority, underscoring that Gwadar’s development is integral to the province’s overarching economic aspirations.
The success of Gwadar is synonymous with the success of Balochistan. All available resources are being allocated to attain this objective,” he concluded.
