Army troops receive heroism awards from COAS Munir.

In an investiture ceremony at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, Pakistan Army officers and soldiers received military honours from Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir in appreciation of their outstanding operational bravery and distinguished national service.
Numerous top military officials and the award recipients’ families attended the ceremony, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Among the awards given were the Tamgha-i-Basalat and the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military). The relatives of the martyrs accepted the posthumous medals with honour.

Paying homage to the martyrs and veterans, COAS stated: “Shuhada and Ghazis are our enduring pride. Every Pakistani is entrusted with their honour and respect. These courageous sons of the soil made the ultimate sacrifices that led to the peace and freedom we value today.
In addition, he acknowledged the martyrs’ families’ unmatched sacrifices for the country and conveyed his deep respect for their tenacity and strength.
Commending the unyielding resolve of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies (LEAs), COAS appreciated their relentless efforts in thwarting multiple terrorist threats and eliminating high-value terrorist operatives during ongoing counterterrorism operations.
